Vetting & Standards
We report exactly what has been checked and the limitations that remain, so families can make informed decisions.
Verification methodology
The HomeHire team reviews submitted documents and records each category as Checked, Could not verify or Not checked.
Candidates submit relevant documentation for review. Each verification category receives one of three clear statuses. These evidence outcomes never select or rank profiles for families:
- Checked: Evidence received, reviewed and validated against the applicable requirements.
- Could not verify: Evidence was insufficient, illegible or could not be conclusively authenticated.
- Not checked: The requirement is outstanding or does not apply to this role or market.
What we check
Identity and right to work
We review appropriate identity and right-to-work evidence for the country where the role is based.
DBS information where relevant to the role
Where lawful and relevant, we review the official check applicable to the role and market, and report its scope, date and any recheck requirement clearly.
Professional references
We request at least two professional, non-relative references and contact referees directly to confirm employment and performance.
Qualifications where claimed
Where a candidate claims a role-specific qualification, we request suitable evidence for review.
Limits of verification
HomeHire applies careful due diligence but relies on evidence supplied by candidates, third parties and public bodies. No process can guarantee that sophisticated fraud will be prevented. Families must make their own final decision during interviews and trial periods.
Families remain responsible for their final judgement during interviews and trial periods.
HomeHire supports nationwide direct search and connection. Optional media, evidence and private contact details are shared only through the relevant permissioned journey.
